Let's take a closer look at what's new in MPX and how it benefits your business.
🚚 Automated Courier Booking, From Pack to Label
One-Click Booking at the End of Pack
The pack window now offers to book the courier and print the shipping label as soon as an order finishes packing. A new Shipping Rules engine matches each order to the right courier in the background, so packers simply confirm and move on instead of jumping between windows to look up services, book pickups and queue labels.
Key highlights:
Courier Shipping Rules introduce a configurable layer for automated courier booking, so admins can define plain rules specifying which courier and service each order should ship on.
Per-facility booking automation lets each warehouse opt in independently, with eligibility checks that explain politely when an order can't be auto-booked, so it's never a silent no-op.
Per-user default label printer means each packer's labels land on their own bench printer without any per-order selection.
Tracking URL templates can now be defined at the courier and service level, so tracking links land cleanly in customer communications.
The result is a faster, calmer pack station that takes the courier admin off the packer's plate.
⚡ Returns Dashboard, Dramatically Faster
Returns Page Performance Lift
We've reworked how the Returns dashboard reads its data to deliver a step change in responsiveness. At production volumes, page load times have dropped from minutes to under a second, transforming the experience for customer service teams who live in this view all day.
Up to 210 times faster at scale, with the dashboard now refreshing in well under a second, even at six-figure record counts.
Streamlined data retrieval replaces a layered set of correlated lookups with a single, pre-aggregated read.
Optimised lookups across Returns, Repairs, Invoice Items and Credit Note Requests deliver consistently snappy navigation no matter how busy the queue gets.
The dashboard now feels instant, freeing teams to work at their own pace rather than the system's.
📋 Sharper Accounts, Invoicing and Email
Configurable Required Fields on Accounts
Each install can now declare its own mandatory Account fields via configuration, so the system enforces the data discipline that matters to your business. VAT numbers, contact blocks, address blocks and anything you need to insist on at account creation can now be made mandatory cleanly.
BCC on Email Templates
Every email template now supports a silent BCC field. Outgoing invoices, dispatch notifications, return confirmations, or any other template-driven email can quietly copy themselves to an internal inbox without cluttering the composer or exposing recipients to one another. Perfect for accounts teams that need a complete record of customer correspondence.
VAT Rate per Invoice Line
Tax invoices and pro forma invoices now display the VAT rate against every line item, satisfying HMRC requirements and giving customers a clearer breakdown at a glance. The new column sits neatly between Unit Qty and Line Total on both amalgamated and itemised PDFs.
Legacy Sales: Address Fields and Admin Bulk Delete
Legacy Sales records now carry full address information, so returns and reshipments can be raised against historic imports without leaving the workflow to chase address details. Admins also gain a bulk delete action on the Legacy Sales listview, gated behind a new permission, making it straightforward to tidy up imported data when needed.
🌍 FedEx Customs Declarations
International shipments now declare customs values in the exact numeric format FedEx expects, ensuring that NL-to-UK and other cross-border bookings flow through without friction.
✨ A Few Quality-of-Life Refinements
Pro forma invoices and quotes now pick the correct currency footer based on the sale's currency, so EUR and USD sales display the right payment details from the selling entity.
Return Picking Requests now carry the FAO field cleanly from the originating return, ensuring shipments back to customers reach the right person every time.
Listview selection state is now refreshed cleanly each time a listview opens, ensuring that group actions operate only on records the user has actively selected in the current session.
Order import has been hardened against duplicate creation by tracking queued order IDs during sync.
💷 Smarter VAT at the Point of Dispatch
Automatic Marginal Scheme Upgrade
When an order is imported, the VAT scheme is locked in based on the information available at that moment. Sometimes, however, the assets actually pulled and packed turn out to have been purchased under the Marginal scheme. MPX now spots that automatically at dispatch and upgrades the sale and invoice to Marginal before the tax point is finalised, so the financial position reflects what really shipped.
Eligibility is checked per asset against the originating purchase order, so the upgrade only applies when every dispatched item qualifies.
UK-only and asset-tagged orders are upgraded automatically, with bulk or SKU-based items left untouched as a safety boundary.
Sales, sale items, invoices and invoice items are all recalculated in a single, atomic pass, so figures stay aligned across the order lifecycle.
Full audit logging captures every upgrade with the order reference, invoice number and the verified asset tags, so finance teams can reconstruct any decision instantly.
The result is more accurate VAT treatment with no extra clicks, no spreadsheet reconciliation, and no risk of a mismatch between sales and invoices.
📥 Stock Imports That Actually Tell You What Went Wrong
Detailed Failure Reasons and CSV Export
Importing hundreds of rows from a spreadsheet shouldn't end with a vague "line 47 failed". The Stock Import experience has been rebuilt around clarity, so when something doesn't import, you can see exactly why and act on it without trawling the source file.
Per-row failure detail breaks every issue down by Sheet, Row, Action and Error, so the reason is right next to the record.
Failed and successful exports download as CSVs with one click, and the failed export carries every original column plus the failure reason, ready to fix and re-upload.
Cleaner preview and results panes mean operations teams can quickly scan a long import and zero in on only the rows that need attention.
What used to be a hunt-and-fix exercise is now a clean, structured loop that gets bad data clean and clean data into the system faster.
🚀 A Faster, More Responsive Platform at Scale
Inventory Performance at Catalogue Scale
We've invested in how stock quantities are maintained behind the scenes, replacing per-product lookups with batched operations. The nightly stock maintenance routine now completes in a fixed, small number of operations regardless of catalogue size, and bulk product actions are resolved in a single pass.
Dramatically lighter nightly workload, especially for large catalogues, freeing platform capacity for daytime operations.
Faster bulk product actions in the warehouse, with multi-select delete and lookup now consistently snappy.
Continuous Framework Strengthening
Behind the scenes, we've made a deliberate, deep investment in the foundations of MPX. New universal helpers for data handling, configuration parsing and performance timing now sit at the heart of the framework, giving every component a consistent, well-tested path through the most heavily used operations.
Hardened data handling improves resilience against unexpected inputs and makes diagnostics far richer when investigating any edge case.
Strengthened configuration parsing ensures every component config follows a single, well-defined path, with clearer error reporting.
Forward-ready infrastructure prepares MPX for the next generation of runtime environments, ensuring the platform stays current as underlying technologies evolve.
These are the kinds of foundations that don't appear on any single screen but raise the floor for reliability and speed across every workflow.
🔌 Sharper Integrations and Developer Experience
Currency and Exchange Rate in the Sales Orders API
Partner integrations consuming the Sales Orders API now receive CurrencyCode and ExchangeRate alongside the rest of the order details. Multi-currency partners no longer need a second lookup to interpret order values correctly and downstream reporting lands accurate first time.
Couriers: Tracking URL Templates Save Cleanly
Tracking URL templates entered against couriers and services now persist reliably on save, so the configured links flow through to customer communications exactly as defined.
FedEx International Shipments
We've refined how MPX talks to FedEx on international shipments, enforcing a sensible minimum customs value so low-cost items clear cleanly. Cross-border bookings flow through without manual intervention, even when individual items carry very low unit costs.
Accurate Costs on Multi-Currency Goods In
We've improved how Goods In handles non-GBP receipts, ensuring exchange rate conversion is applied once and only once. Unit costs land at the correct sterling value on first pass and historic records affected by earlier behaviour are automatically corrected, so cost-of-goods reporting stays trustworthy across every currency.
👤 A Few Refinements That Make Daily Work Easier
Edit your own profile without administrator permissions. Every user can now update their own contact details, courier printer preferences and out-of-office settings, while sensitive fields like permissions and roles stay protected by their existing safeguards.
Forms helper improvements add disabled-state support for large dataset selectors and class targeting for hidden fields, giving developers a consistent toolkit and keeping UI behaviour predictable across the platform.
