What's new in MPX? | May 2026 update

May has seen three releases delivering major advances across warehouse operations, marketplace management, returns processing and platform performance.

From the introduction of Wave Picking Runs to a brand-new issue tracking framework, richer Returns collaboration tools, and complete visibility into marketplace coverage, this month's updates have focused on giving teams greater control, better visibility, and more efficient ways of working.

Alongside these headline features, we've continued our platform modernisation programme, expanded integration capabilities and delivered a host of refinements that improve the day-to-day experience across the platform.

Here's a summary of what's new

  1. Wave Picking Runs

  2. Issue tracking inside Conversations

  3. Richer Returns workspace

  4. Marketplace Coverage dashboard

  5. Aiken integration, Inventory API access and IMEI barcode labels

  6. Faster despatch and smarter courier controls

  7. Stronger inventory and stock controls

  8. Platform reliability and modernisation improvements

Let's take a closer look at what's new in MPX and how it benefits your business.

🚀 Smarter warehouse operations with Wave Picking Runs

Warehouse teams handling larger order volumes can now take advantage of Wave Picking Runs, a new way to fulfil multiple orders in a single warehouse sweep.

Instead of processing Picking Requests one at a time, teams can group requests into a single Run and collect all required stock in one journey through the warehouse. Location-optimised Pick Sheets guide users through the most efficient route, while scan-driven confirmation helps maintain accuracy when picks are returned to the bench.

The workflow sits alongside existing picking processes, allowing teams to continue using traditional single-order picking whenever it suits their operation.

For warehouses looking to increase throughput without increasing complexity, Wave Picking Runs offer a significant step forward in efficiency and visibility.

💬 A new way to manage issues and team collaboration

May also introduced one of the most important collaboration enhancements we've delivered in recent years.

Issue tracking is now built directly into Conversations, allowing teams to raise, discuss and resolve problems without leaving the record they're working on. Any conversation comment can be promoted to an Issue, creating a clear lifecycle from identification through to resolution, complete with an audit trail.

The first implementation arrives within Picking Requests, where warehouse and support teams can flag problems such as incorrect addresses, courier issues or fulfilment exceptions and resolve them collaboratively within MPX.

Because the feature is built into the existing Conversations framework, it also lays the foundation for similar workflows across Sales, BuyBacks, Projects, Job Cards, Recruitment and many other areas of the platform.

📦 Returns becomes a complete collaboration hub

Returns processing has received a major upgrade with the introduction of file attachments and Conversations directly within Returns and RMAs.

Teams can now upload photographs, PDFs and supporting documentation directly against a return, creating a centralised record of evidence for warranty claims, supplier discussions and refurbishment workflows.

At the same time, cross-team conversations bring the same collaboration capabilities already familiar from Orders into the Returns workspace, helping customer service, refurbishment and warranty teams work together more effectively.

Together, these additions transform Returns into a richer operational workspace where the full history of an issue can be managed in one place.

🛒 Complete visibility across your marketplace estate

For businesses selling across multiple channels, keeping track of where products are listed can quickly become challenging.

The new Marketplace Coverage dashboard provides a single view of marketplace presence across your inventory. Teams can see which marketplaces each SKU has been synchronised to, when it was last updated and opportunities to expand product coverage.

Whether you're selling through Refurbed, Reebelo, Back Market, Neuro or multiple channels simultaneously, the dashboard provides immediate visibility into listing status and synchronisation health.

The result is greater confidence in marketplace operations and a clearer understanding of where your products are reaching customers.

🔌 Expanding integration and automation capabilities

This month's releases also introduced several important integration enhancements.

Support for Aiken diagnostics provides device refurbishers with a new way to bring asset specification data into MPX while maintaining full control over when updates are applied to inventory records.

We've also expanded the Inventory API, enabling external systems to query stock information programmatically. Businesses can now access inventory data by SKU, stock owner, product type and status, opening up new possibilities for reporting, integrations and warehouse automation.

For organisations managing mobile devices, new IMEI barcode labels make it easier to identify assets directly from printed labels without changing existing warehouse workflows.

🚚 Faster despatch and smarter courier management

A series of improvements across despatch and courier workflows are helping teams save time while improving operational control.

Automatic courier label printing removes unnecessary clicks by sending labels directly to a user's default printer as soon as a booking is confirmed. One-click label reprinting further simplifies the despatch process during busy periods.

Courier management has also become more intelligent. Businesses can now restrict courier services by destination country, helping prevent unsuitable carrier selections and protecting margins on international shipments.

Behind the scenes, improvements to marketplace order synchronisation and stock update processing ensure information moves between systems more efficiently.

📋 Stronger controls and greater accountability

Several enhancements this month focus on improving data quality, traceability and operational governance.

Stock deletions now require users to provide a reason before inventory can be removed, creating a clearer audit trail for damaged, lost, stolen or incorrectly listed stock. Additional delivery tracking within purchase orders also provides greater visibility into the timing of goods receipt processes.

New inventory grading capabilities, improved validation checks and cleaner label generation continue our focus on helping customers maintain high-quality operational data throughout the lifecycle of every asset.

⚡ Continued investment in platform performance

Alongside the headline features, May delivered another significant wave of platform modernisation and infrastructure improvements.

Additional areas of MPX have been migrated to our standardised Forms framework, bringing greater consistency, accessibility and usability across the platform. We've also continued to optimise logging, maintenance processes, printing infrastructure and background task processing to ensure MPX remains responsive as customer operations scale.

These changes may be less visible than new functionality, but they play an essential role in delivering the stability and reliability our customers depend on every day.

🔮 Looking ahead

May has been defined by three themes: control, collaboration and visibility.

Wave Picking Runs provide a smarter way to manage warehouse throughput, issue tracking introduces a powerful new framework for collaborative problem solving and Marketplace Coverage delivers greater visibility across multi-channel operations.

These releases also lay the foundations for what's coming next. Issue tracking will continue expanding across additional areas of the platform, while further investment in marketplace integrations, fulfilment intelligence, automation and platform modernisation remains firmly on the roadmap.

We're excited to keep building on this momentum in the months ahead.
